I’m Broken and it’s Beautiful.
Your Journey is Our Journey.
Challenges have been a constant in my life since the day I was born. I’ve had the cards stacked against me, but I’ve reshuffled the deck and made something wonderful for myself and my family. Some challenges have been accidental, some I didn’t know better at the time, and some of it is just “how it is”.
My goal with this blog is simple, for all the others to know their not alone, hopefully help you avoid the mistakes I have, and for you to know that you are bigger than the story you’re telling yourself you are. If I can do it. You definitely can.
Just in case you try to say I’m just build different, let me assure you. There is nothing special about me, I was just fortunate to have a dad who never let up on me overcoming the hard. He was the “mean dad” that told me there is no crying in softball after I’d take a huge hit, but then uplifted me by telling me there is nothing I can’t do. He’s the one who said “figure it out”. It doesn’t sound like much, but that has been all the difference in me overcoming my obstacles since I was a young.
I’m a mama of an amazing genius kiddo (who uses it against me regularly…), a coffee obsessionist, recovering work-a-holic who still falls off the wagon, cusses like a sailor but trying to keep in check, workout often to keep my sanity, avid book listener, passionate about good graphic design, and I try to be a better person every day. 1% at a time.
No this photo is not me, I’m just also recovering perfectionist who hasn’t started this blog for the last year trying have it be perfect and have decided just to write and not to worry about the perfect photos.
Cut the BullShit. Life is Hard.
What I’ve learned, there are two paths. Light and Dark.
It’s not a monumental step that’s going to change your life. It’s time and small steps onto the path you want to find yourself on. You chose if you want to be in the light or the dark. No one can change it except for you.
